Hi, I’m Meagan

I believe that we aren’t meant to heal alone.

In fact, it is evidence-based that we shouldn’t try. Co-regulation is the process of healing in the safety and harmony of community. It is in the spaces that we are held that we are most able to grow.

My favorite aspect of the therapeutic process (and often the most indicative of positive outcomes and change) is building a relationship with the folks I work with.

MY EXPERIENCE

I have worked for ten+ years in the nonprofit and healthcare industries, facilitating groups, building communities, and advocating for girls, women, and birthing people.

I received my PA license (LPC) in 2024 and my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International in 2025.

I became a yoga and meditation teacher in 2018, and is one of my favorite things I’ve done to date.

I wrote and published a children’s book in 2013 after feeling sad about polar bears becoming endangered.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Arts - Allegheny College, 2014

  • Master of Science in Counseling Psychology - Chatham University, 2021

I am devoted to helping you make meaning, and to sit with you and hold space when there is no meaning to be made. I would be honored to bear witness to your story.

My Approach

I truly believe that you are the expert on yourself. I work as your advocate and guide to help you explore identity and beliefs systems, make change, or accept what is.

I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and HAES-aligned, and believe systems of oppression contribute to how we are, and how we heal.

  • ACT falls under the CBT/behavioral science umbrella. The main components of this therapy are mindfulness, acceptance, cognitive defusion (understanding you are not your thoughts), self-as-context, defining values, and taking committed action toward a fulfilling life.

  • I am a certified yoga, meditation, and breathwork teacher and love to use these approaches in session if a client chooses. Our mental health works with our nervous system - so much can and needs to be processed through the body to heal.

  • Writing and therapeutic art are powerful tools for transformation, understanding, and making meaning. I am happy to use these tools to the extent a client desires.
